A P Seedorff & Co., Inc.EST 1947

Founded in 1947 by Alexander P. Seedorff, the Company began manufacturing Resistance Welding Equipment for the Automotive Sector (Chrysler, Nash). Soon thereafter, the Aircraft Industry acquired our services (Grumman Aircraft, McDonnell Douglas, Boeing, General Dynamics, Northrop, Pratt & Whitney, etc). Miniature Welding Guns, Power Supplies, and Standard Welding Equipment were delivered. Upon developing Standard Machinery (stationary & portable), the Picture Tube Industry called upon us (Zenith, Sony, Motorola, etc). Mini Spring-to-Frame Welders were delivered. As time progressed, the Appliance and Office Furniture Industry called upon us to design and build custom Multi-Head Welding Machines. Standard and Special Seam Welding Machines were manufactured per Customer’s Requirements. Seedorff Welding Equipment can be found not only in the U.S., but as far as Saudi Arabia, China, Korea, Europe, Canada, Mexico, and South America.

Seedorff History.

ACME Electric Welder Company and A P Seedorff & Co., Inc. were the two primary competitors in California. While Seedorff specialized in aerospace and automotive, ACME specialized in commercial resistence welding. Seedorff and ACME joined in 2001 to form one company.

The ACME Electric Welder Company EST 1918

Founded in 1918 by George M. Hessdoerfer, A.M. Searles, & A.V.B. Cutler (a pioneer in the Electric Welding Industry), Acme provided welding machinery to a booming Industrial America. Industries such as: Aircraft, Automotive, Sheet metal, Iron working, Appliance etc., acquired many Acme Welders. As a result, Acme developed a standard production line of Rocker Arm, Press-type, Gun, and Multi-Head Welding Machines, many of which are still in production today!
